NINJA CREAMI
HUMAN FACTORS REDESIGN

BRIEF

This project was carried out in collaboration with Ninja. Their brief asked us to redesign one of their products, the Ninja Creami, around the human factors needs of a new or under-represented user group.

FINAL PRODUCT
The original product catered to health conscious consumers who would be using this on a near daily basis. However the scale and bulky form made the product difficult to move and store in small places, making it less suitable for consumers who wouldn’t use it as frequently. Those with dietary requirements or allergies were identified as a potential user group who may still want to enjoy ice-cream but on a less frequent basis, making these problems potentially offputting.

Through interviews and tests with users, the product was redesigned with a drastically reduced scale and added handles that made it easier to move around and put in storage when not in use.
